A CARB Clean Truck Check 5-Day Pass allows an eligible heavy-duty vehicle to operate in California for five consecutive days. Each vehicle may receive one pass per calendar year if it has no outstanding enforcement actions. CARB requires the request to be submitted at least seven business days before the vehicle enters California.

Can you drive a non-compliant heavy duty vehicle operate California?

Which vehicles are exempt from CARB Clean Truck Check?
Exemptions apply automatically to qualifying gasoline, electric, hydrogen fuel cell, out-of-state motorhome, emergency, military tactical, historical, and DMV NON-OP vehicles.
How long is a CARB 5-Day Pass valid?
