How it works
A Clean Truck Check certificate is not one-and-done: most vehicles must submit passing emissions tests every six months, agricultural vehicles and California-registered motorhomes test annually, and from October 1, 2027 OBD-equipped vehicles move to quarterly submissions. The annual compliance fee, indexed to California's Consumer Price Index, must also stay current.
